I'm Keith Hetzel, a software engineer based in West Bend, Wisconsin. I build websites and customer management solutions for service-based businesses — contractors, landscapers, cleaners, tradespeople, and anyone else who's too busy doing the actual work to worry about their online stuff.
You're great at what you do. I can help more people find out about it.
Honestly I never thought I'd be in web or software development. I made a joke in high school that "I'd never write code again."
That changed quickly after high school. I do enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of creating something and seeing it come to life online. I've learned a lot through my main job as well as building projects on the side. I've worked on projects big and small, public and private.
Here's something I think matters: I learned to code before AI could write it for me. I know how to build from scratch. I also know when to use newer tools and when they're just hype. I'm not going to pitch you some AI-powered magic solution and hope you don't ask questions. If you're curious about where that tech fits, we can talk about it. I'll be straight with you.
You run a service business. Plumbing, landscaping, painting, cleaning, electrical, HVAC, roofing, whatever. Most of your work comes from word of mouth. That's great, but it has a ceiling.
People are searching for what you do right now. If they can't find you, they're calling somewhere else. That's the simple version.
I'm not just slapping together a website and handing you a login. I can set up a way for you to handle customers. No more sticky notes. No more "I forgot to call them back." Just a simple system that helps you land more jobs and keep customers coming back. You don't need to be a tech person for any of it.
I live in West Bend. I want to work with people here too. If you're in town, or over in Hartford, Kewaskum, Slinger, Jackson, anywhere in Washington County, let's see if we can make something happen. Send me a message below!
