I'm Keith Hetzel, a software engineer based in West Bend, Wisconsin. I build websites and customer management solutions for service-based businesses — contractors, landscapers, cleaners, tradespeople, and anyone else who's too busy doing the actual work to worry about their online stuff.

A Little Background

Honestly I never thought I'd be in web or software development. I made a joke in high school that "I'd never write code again."

That changed quickly after high school. I do enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of creating something and seeing it come to life online. I've learned a lot through my main job as well as building projects on the side. I've worked on projects big and small, public and private.

Here's something I think matters: I learned to code before AI could write it for me. I know how to build from scratch. I also know when to use newer tools and when they're just hype. I'm not going to pitch you some AI-powered magic solution and hope you don't ask questions. If you're curious about where that tech fits, we can talk about it. I'll be straight with you.
